Technical Topic

Twice a month, Wyoming Youth Soccer’s Technical Director Anne Moore will provide a training session or article on a youth soccer topic intended to benefit of our players and coaching community.

From 1999 to 2007 Coach Moore was the head women’s soccer coach for the University of Wyoming. Besides her university coaching experience, Moore has also served as the director of coaching for club programs, in both Virginia and Tennessee and has been actively involved in the US Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program in both Tennessee and Wyoming. She received her USSF "B" License in 2001 and her NSCAA Advanced National License in 1998.

Moore had an outstanding collegiate soccer career at North Carolina State, where she was a four-year letter winner from 1989-93. While playing at N.C. State, Moore's teams advanced to the NCAA tournament every season, including two trips to the Elite Eight and a Final Four berth 1989.

Moore earned her undergraduate degree in 1993 from North Carolina State with a bachelor of arts in communications degree. She then earned a master's of education degree with a concentration in sports management from Virginia Tech in 1995.

Players can do these two workouts during the winter or off-season to maintain a touch on the ball and to work on foot speed. Very little space is required and all exercises can be executed individually.
